Diploma Issuance
After the defense of the dissertation, the signed minutes of the session must be delivered to the Program Secretariat for registration in the CAPG.
Attention! Before sending the dissertation for signature by the coordination, the document must be converted to PDF format.
The final version of the thesis must be deposited in the University Library (BU), according to current regulations, within the deadline defined by the committee during the defense session. Any pending issues with the BU System must be resolved (e.g., open loans and fines).
After submission and acceptance of the dissertation by the BU, the student may request the diploma, following the instructions below:

Documents required to start the Diploma Creation Process:
- Copy of the birth or marriage certificate, including any annotations related to court decisions regarding name changes, if applicable;
- Copy of the identity document;
- If foreign, attach a copy of the foreigner’s identity card with a permanent or temporary visa, and the identity card from the country of origin. In the absence of the foreigner’s identity card, provide a copy of the temporary visa in the passport, proving the student’s regular status in the country during the course;
- Copy of the recognized undergraduate diploma (front and back). If obtained abroad, attach a declaration of recognition of the degree signed by the Program coordinator;
- Submit the Thesis (final version) to the PPGINFOS/UFSC Secretariat email: ppginfos@contato.ufsc.br
Method of document submission:
- Os documentos podem ser enviados para o e-mail da secretaria do PPGFINFOS em PDF. Nesse caso, os documentos devem estar, necessariamente, autenticados em cartório.Documents can be sent to the PPGINFOS Secretariat email in PDF format. In this case, the documents must be notarized.
- Documents can be presented at the PPGINFOS/UFSC Secretariat (room H001, ground floor, block H/CCS). In this case, the student should present the original documents so the secretariat can verify them. Note: The student must send the TCC (dissertation) via email.
Diploma Pickup:
After receiving an email informing the completion of the process, the diploma should be picked up at the Postgraduate Secretariat of the CCS (room H001, ground floor, block H/CCS). The student must present a photo ID or, if picked up by a third party, a simple power of attorney and a photo ID.
In case of loss of the diploma, the second copy must be requested directly from the Department of School Administration (https://dae.ufsc.br/solicitacao-de-2a-via-de-diploma/) upon payment of a fee.
